An early morning crash on Interstate 45 sent two people to a hospital, Tuesday, according to Texas Department of Public Safety.
DPS troopers were dispatched to the northbound lanes of I-45 to assist in a traffic collision involving two vehicles. A preliminary investigation indicates that a 2005 Cadillac was traveling in the inside lane when it experienced a car problem. As the driver attempts to slowly move the vehicle outside the roadway, it was then struck by a Freightliner that was hauling a semi-tractor trailer.
The impact of the collision seriously injured both drivers of the vehicles. They were rushed to CHI St. Joseph in Bryan for treatment. Their condition was not immediately released. Meanwhile, a passenger in the car sustained injuries and was treated on the scene.
No identifications were disclosed by responding officers.
An investigation is underway.
Our deepest sympathies to the victim of this unfortunate event. We strongly believe that the Centerville Police Department will do everything to bring those responsible to justice.
Injuries caused by vehicle collisions can vary from crash to crash. Some injuries may heal within a span of days while others could paralyze a victim’s body for a month. The most commonly known car accident injuries include neck and chest and head and back injuries. Broken and ligament damages are also quite common.
Being a victim of a collision is an overwhelming experience. If you are a passenger in a car involved in crash, the first thing you should do is seek medical attention for yourself and anyone who needs it. After this, you’ll want to alert your insurance provider regarding damages or injuries you sustained from the collision. To submit a claim, you would need to gather documents supporting your claim. These may include a video of the scene or a photograph of the damages to the vehicles, police reports stating the facts of the accident, and medical records indicating the severity of your injury, to name a few.
