Terrell – 66-year-old Dovie Gunn Dies in Motorcycle Accident on FM 429

Terrell Police Department has identified the 66-year-old woman who died in a fatal motorcycle collision on North Farm-to-Market (FM) 429 last July 28th, Sunday.

The fatality was identified as 66-year-old Dovie Gunn of Crandall, Texas.

According to initial reports, two motorcycles, a 2014 Harley Davidson and 2018 Indian, were seen heading south on FM 429 just after 3:00 p.m. As they were in the process of exiting a curve, the operator of the Harley Davidson, Dovie Gunn, failed to negotiate its speed and struck the Indian operated by Gary Gunn, also from Crandall.

Dovie was transported to Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas for treatment. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries last Tuesday. Authorities did not provide details about the condition of the other motorcyclist.

The Terrell Police Department Accident Investigations Team continues to investigate the crash.
