Lubbock – Woman Killed on 73rd Street Vehicular Accident

A fatal car accident on 73rd Street killed one person, Saturday afternoon, according to a local news source.
Based on a preliminary investigation, the incident, which involved two Ford vehicles, happened on 73rd St near Milwaukee Avenue. Police said that a Ford Focus that was traveling along the southbound lane was attempting to make a turn towards a business driver when a northbound Ford Mustang struck it. Details as to why the Mustang hit the Focus remain unknown at this time.
Both drivers of the Mustang and the Focus sustained moderate to serious injuries. One was transported to the nearest hospital with serious injuries while the other was treated at the scene for moderate injuries. A passenger in the focus was pronounced deceased at the scene.
No identification has been released.
Investigators are looking into the case further.
