Odessa – Juan Dedios Orona III Died in Major Crash on Interstate 20

A 25-year-old Kermit man has been identified as the victim who died following a fatal car accident on Interstate 20 in Southwest Odessa, Sunday morning.
The fatality was identified as Juan Dedios Orona III, 25, of Kermit.
According to the release by Odessa Police, Orona was driving a black 2005 Ford F-150 pickup truck along the westbound lanes of I-20. Upon exiting the ramp, he then crossed all lanes and crashed into a median barrier. Orona was ejected from the vehicle after it rolled over a number of times. Authorities said that the truck was then struck by other passing cars.
The force of the impact killed Orona at the scene. His immediate family has been notified.
No other injuries were reported.
The Odessa Police Department has yet to determine why the pickup truck suddenly went out of control.
An investigation has begun.
