Plano – Person Near Disabled Vehicle Struck by a Car on Preston Road

A 28-year-old woman died after getting hit by a passing vehicle on Preston Road in Plano, Sunday night.
Law enforcement officials released a report indicating that the fatal incident took place on President George Bush Turnpike in Plano. According to the report, a person stepped out of the vehicle after it became disabled in the middle lanes. Shortly after, a passing car then struck the pedestrian. She sustained serious injuries and was taken to an area hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
Authorities later identified the victim as 28-year-old Amanda Ysasaga.
No one else was injured.
The driver of the other vehicle stopped and remained at the scene. It was not confirmed if he suffered from any injury.
No citations have been issued as the investigation is still in progress.
