Coupland- Fiery collision on FM 973

One person is killed after getting involved in a two-vehicle accident on Farm to Market Road 973 near Richland Road, Saturday.
According to initial reports, the fiery crash took place at the intersection of FM 973 at approximately 9 p.m. Travis County Sheriff’s Officials arrived at the scene with one vehicle fully engulfed in flames. Details about what led to the collision about still unknown.
The Texas DPS confirmed that at least person was pronounced dead at the scene. It was not stated if he was a driver or a passenger in one of the vehicles involved. His identification has yet to be released.
No other injuries were reported as of this writing.
Roads were temporarily shut down for clearing.
