Austin – 1 Dead Following a Car Crash on East Ben White Boulevard

The Austin Police Department is conducting an investigation regarding an auto collision on East Ben White Boulevard in Southeast Austin, early Sunday morning.
According to initial reports, the incident occurred at around 12:15 a.m. at the 4600 block of East Ben White Boulevard, near the Burleson Road intersection. A preliminary investigation indicates that a 2012 Nissan Altima was heading west on the roadway when, for reasons that had been determined it struck the rear of a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe. The impact of the crash left one person in the Nissan with serious injuries. He was immediately transported to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased.
No other injuries were reported at this time.
Local investigators were also dispatched at the scene to gather more information about the case.
