Polk County – Car vs Tree Crash on FM 3277 Leaves 1 Dead

Polk Couty law enforcement officials have yet to release the name of the victim who died in a fatal car accident on Farm to Market Road 3277 near Livingston, July 5th.
At around 3:00 p.m., DPS troopers responded to FM 3277 seven miles west of Livingston to assist in a collision involving a vehicle that struck a tree. According to the report, a Nissa truck was heading west on the road when, for reasons that have yet to be determined, it went off the roadway and crashed into a nearby tree. The force of the impact left the driver of the vehicle with serious injuries. He was immediately taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased. His identification was not immediately disclosed by local authorities.
Based on a preliminary investigation, the vehicle may have been traveling at an unsafe speed prior to the crash.
