Odessa – Jacob Hengtgen Died in Motorcycle vs Car Crash on East 8th Street

The Odessa Police Department has released the name of the victim who died in a fatal auto collision on East 8th Street, Thursday evening.
According to initial reports, the fatality was identified as 21-year-old Jacob Hengtgen. He was a resident of Wisconsin.
Just before 10:00 p.m., a collision was reported at the 1900 East 8th Street. A Ford Mustang was seen leaving a private driveway when it collided with an eastbound Harley Davidson motorcycle as the Mustang attempted to make a turn towards 8th Street. The impact of the collision left the motorcycle rider, Jacob Hengtgen, with serious injuries. He was rushed to Medical Center Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. No one else was hurt in the crash.
Based on an initial preliminary investigation, the motorcycle was traveling at an unsafe speed.
