Watauga – Car vs Pole Collision on Highway 377

At least one person died as a result of a collision on Highway 377 in Watauga, Saturday morning.
In an unspecified time last Saturday, a major accident was reported on Highway 377 near North Park Drive. According to a release provided by local officials, one vehicle was involved in the crash. How the incident happened has yet to be determined by responding officers but it was confirmed that the car crashed into a light pole. The impact of the crash left the driver with serious injuries. He was pronounced deceased by emergency crews who responded to the scene.
No one else was injured.
The Watauga Police Department arrived at the scene to determine the circumstances leading up to the accident. The investigation is still in progress.
