Dallas – Bicycle Struck and Killed by a Car on South Westmoreland Road

A rider of a bicycle was pronounced deceased after a collision with a train on South Westmoreland Road last Saturday night.
According to initial reports, Dallas local officials responded to the block of South Westmoreland Road, near West Illinois Avenue, at around 9:30 p.m. According to the initial report, a bicyclist was seen near the Westmoreland Station when it was struck by a Dallas Area Rapid Transit train. The bicyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene. He was identified as 33-year-old James Paul Harris by a Dallas County Medical Examiner’s official.
No one else was injured, as per emergency crews.
The Dallas Police Department arrived at the scene to determine the circumstances leading up to the incident. An investigation is underway.
