A man died after getting struck by a vehicle on State Highway 10 last Thursday afternoon, according to a local news source.
At around 12:25 p.m., Hurt local officials responded to the 600 block of SH 10 after receiving a call reporting a vehicle collision. Police said that a green Ford F-150 pickup truck was seen stopped at the westbound lanes of the highway due to a mechanical problem. The impact of the collision killed the pedestrian instantly. He was later identified as 19-year-old Benjamin Harold Olsen by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s office.
The driver of the Pathfinder, Christopher Thompson, 29, was later arrested at the scene on charges of a suspended license and drug paraphernalia, police said.
