Odessa – Wisconsin Rider Died in Suspected Speeding Crash on East 8th Street

A motorcyclist died in a fatal collision with a vehicle on East 8th Street last Thursday.
Just before 10:00 p.m., Odessa police officials received a call reporting a crash at the 1900 block of East 8th Street. According to initial reports, a Ford Mustang was attempting to make a turn onto 8th Street when it crashed into a Harley Davidson motorcycle that was traveling along the eastbound lane. The force of the impact left the motorcyclist with serious injuries. He was taken to Medical Center Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Authorities only identified the victim was a 21-year-old Wisconsin man.
No one else was injured.
Based on a preliminary investigation, police found out that the rider was traveling at an unsafe speed prior to the crash.
The investigation is underway.
