Austin – Five, including a Child, Injured in Two Vehicle Collision on West Gate Boulevard

At least five people suffered from various injuries after two cars collided on West Gate Boulevard, last Thursday morning.
At around 8:50 a.m., a fatal car accident that occurred at the intersection of West Gate Boulevard and South Lamar Boulevard was reported. According to initial reports, two cars, for yet unknown reasons, collided with each other. A child was pinned and had to be extricated from the wreckage by Austin-Travis County EMS as a result of the collision. He was rushed to a local hospital, along with an injured man, with potentially life-threatening injuries.
Three more victims were transported to an area hospital for treatment. They reportedly sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
No further details are available at this time.
The crash remains under investigation.
