Houston – Hit-and-Run Driver Still at Large Following a Crash on Houston Avenue

The Houston Police Department is still in pursuit of the driver who fled the scene after hitting a bicyclist on Houston Avenue, according to a local news source.
Based on a preliminary investigation, the incident occurred at the 3500 block of Houston Avenue. A bicycle was seen heading south when a white van struck him as he attempted to cross the street. Police added that the van was initially stopped at a red light on Redan Street before it turned south on Houston where the crash happened.
Following the incident, the driver of the suspect vehicle fled the scene without stopping and rendering aid to the victim. The rider of the bicycle, whose identification has not been released, sustained various injuries as a result. It was not confirmed if he was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
