Park Springs – Three-Car Crash on Texas 101 Leaves 1 Dead

A deadly multi-vehicle collision on Texas 101 in Park Springs caused the death of one person, Friday afternoon.
According to a Department of Public Safety official, the incident occurred at around 3:40 p.m. south on Texas, north of Chico. A 2002 Chevrolet pickup truck was heading south on the highway when, for yet unknown reasons, it veered off its lane, crossed the centre line and collided with a 2000 Chevrolet pickup truck. It then struck another northbound vehicle described as 2014 Chevrolet Cruz.
The driver of the first Chevrolet vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene while the second driver suffered from unknown injuries. He was rushed to Medical City Denton Hospital for treatment. His condition was not immediately disclosed. Fortunately, the third driver was not injured.
Local investigators arrived at the scene to determine what caused the first vehicle to drifted onto the opposing lanes.
