San Antonio — Head-on Crash on Campbellton Road Leaves 2 Injured

At least two people, including a child, were taken to a hospital after a major vehicle collision on Campbellton Road, Saturday morning.

Emergency crews responded to South Loop 1604 near Campbellton Road after receiving a call reporting a crash at around 11:00 a.m. According to initial reports, a sedan was traveling along the roadway when it drifted onto the opposing lanes and collided head-on with another vehicle.

A driver, identified only as a man in his 40s, and a child passenger had to be extricated from the wreckage by local paramedics. They were taken to University Hospital with injuries that were considered serious. Fortunately, the driver of the truck did not sustain injuries.

The San Antonio Police Department arrived at the scene to determine liability.
