Williamson County – 1 Killed in Car Collision on FM 3405

The Williamson County Police Department is investigating a car accident on Farm to Market 3405 Road, Thursday.

According to local officials, a 2019 Hyundai Sonata was driving on the opposite direction of the road along FM 3405, just east of U.S. 183 in Williamson County, when it collided with a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado that was traveling along the westbound lane. The impact of the collision left the Hyundai driver with life-threatening injuries. He was pronounced dead by emergency crews who responded to the scene.

A child in the Chevrolet suffered from unknown injuries. He was immediately taken to Seton Hospital for further care.

No identification has been released pending notification of the victim’s next of kin.

Investigators are still determining the reason why the Hyundai driver was heading on the opposite side of the road.
