Tyler – Student struck by car on Donnybrook Avenue

A Robert E. Lee high school student was hospitalized with injuries after getting involved in a car accident on Donnybrook Avenue, Tuesday morning.
According to the Tyler Police Department, the crash took place just before 7:40 a.m. The victim was crossing Donnybrook Avenue on a crosswalk when an unidentified vehicle struck them.
The pedestrian, who was only identified as a Robert E. Lee high school student, sustained injuries from the impact. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The extent of their injuries remains unknown at this time.
The identification of the driver and the suspect vehicle were not immediately released.
No charges have been made as the investigation is still in progress.
