Slaton- 27-year-old Lubbock Man Killed after Night Crash on Slaton Highway

A Lubbock resident died as a result of a car accident on Slaton Highway, also known as US 84, late Sunday evening.
Area authorities said that the collision was reported just before midnight last May 26. According to initial reports, a semi truck was heading east on the highway when, for reasons that had not been determined, it struck a Ford F-250 pickup truck. Details leading up to the accident are very limited at this time.
The driver of the pickup truck, identified only as a 27-year-old male Lubbock resident, died as a result of the collision. The driver of the semi did not sustain any injury. His identification was not disclosed as well.
Investigators arrived at the scene to determine the cause of the accident.
