Sherman – Kyle Deriso ID’d Victim of Pedestrian Collision on Texoma Parkway

A fatal pedestrian collision involving a suspected drunk driver caused the death of a 40-year-old man on Texoma Parkway, Thursday evening.
The fatality was identified as Kyle Deriso, 40. Deriso was an employee at Taco Casa, and had gone back to work to pick up something he forgot.
According to the report released by local officials, the accident took place at around 10:30 p.m., May 16. Deriso was attempting to cross Texoma Parkway when he was struck by an undescribed vehicle. The impact of the collision rendered Deriso lifeless.
The driver was arrested by local police on suspicion of intoxication. She was later identified as 38-year-old Melissa Thompson. She was released from jail after posting $30,000 bond.
An investigation is underway.
