Forth Worth – Solo-car crash on E. Lancaster Avenue

A fatal car accident took the lives of two Forth Worth residents on East Lancaster Avenue, Sunday morning.
The crash was reported at around 10:30 a.m. on the 2200 block of East Lancaster Avenue. According to the report, a vehicle was traveling along the avenue when, for yet unknown reasons, it veered off the roadway and slammed into a tree. The force of impact injured three juvenile passengers in the vehicle. Their injuries were considered non-life-threatening.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as 71-year-old Odessa Mickens, died from the impact. Another passenger, identified only as a 12-year-old girl, was also pronounced dead. Investigators are still determining the cause of the crash.
