Limestone – ATV Accident on County Road 400 Kills 1, Injures Two

The Limestone Police Department is conducting an investigation about a fatal ATV crash on County Road 400, early Friday morning.
According to initial reports, the incident took place just after 2:00 a.m. in a creek bottom off CR 400 about two miles outside of Groesbeck. Police believe that the ATV, for reasons that had not been determined, went out of control and landed on a creek bed. When local firefighters arrived at the scene, they found a person underneath the vehicle that was upside down. They extricated the victim who was already lifeless. He was pronounced dead.
Two occupants who were riding with the victim survived. They were treated for unknown injuries.
No identification has been released at this time.
Local authorities have yet to determine who was driving when the accident took place. The Department of Public Safety is investigating.
