Houston – Child injured in a bicycle crash on Yellowstone Avenue

The Houston Police department is looking into a crash that injured a child on Yellowstone Avenue in Third Ward, January 6.
Initial reports say that the wreck took place at the 4200 block of Yellowstone Avenue, Sunday late afternoon. A child was riding his bicycle along the avenue when a red Ford F-150 struck him. The driver did not stop to render aid to the victim and fled the scene. He was seen dragging the bicycle following the collision.
The victim, only identified as a 7-year-old child, sustained injuries. His condition was not released.
Authorities are still investigating the crash. Anyone who has knowledge about the identification of the hit and run driver and whereabouts of the suspect vehicle is encouraged to come forward.
