Houston – Pedestrian Collision on West Fuqua Street Kills 1

A fatal auto versus pedestrian accident on West Fuqua Street in southwest Houston caused the death of one person, a local news source reported.
According to initial reports, the crash happened on West Fuqua Street in southwest Houston and it a dark-colored sport utility vehicle was involved in the said crash. How the crash actually took place remains unclear at this time but it was confirmed that the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the SUV reportedly stayed at the scene and is cooperating with responding officers. His identification has not been released.
Fortunately, no one else was injured.
Fuqua Street, from Camden Hill to South Post Oak Road is shut down as Houston law enforcement officials cleared the scene.
The crash is still under investigation.
