Raymondville – Child Injured on Business 77

At least one person died, while two peopler were injured after a fatal car accident on Business 77, according to a Texas Department of Public Safety official.
Just before 10:00 p.m., DPS troopers responded to the scene of a crash which took place on Business 77 near Raymondville. An initial report said that an unknown vehicle was traveling along the highway when, for yet unknown reasons, it struck another vehicle. The impact of the crash pushed the second vehicle into the path of a third car, causing it to go off the roadway. Details surrounding the incident are limited at this time.
The driver of the second vehicle died as a result of the collision. Meanwhile, a 4-year-old passenger in the second vehicle and the driver of the third car sustained serious injuries. They were both rushed to a local hospital for medical treatment. Authorities did not release any information about their identification and medical condition.
Authorities said that the driver of the first vehicle will be facing charges of intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault. She was identified as 26-year-old Dayna Louise Salinas.
