Gregg County – 61-year-old Oklahoma Woman Who Died in Texas 42 Two-Car Crash ID’d

The Texas Department of Public Safety has released the name of the elderly woman who died in a fatal car crash on Highway 42, Friday morning.
The fatality was identified as Kim Yvonne Hayes, 61, of Wagoner, Oklahoma. According to initial reports, Hayes was driving a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado along the southbound lane of Highway 42 when suddenly, a 2012 Chevrolet 2500 crossed over the center lane and collided with her.
Hayes died as a result of the collision. The driver of the Chevrolet 2500 was rushed to a hospital for further care. He was identified as Michael Buenrostro, 61, of Longview.
No charges have been filed as the investigation is still in progress. Investigators are still determining the cause of the accident.
