Ector County – Officials Identified Victim of Loop 338 Crash

The identification of the 22-year-old man who died in a car accident on Loop 338 has been released by local officials, early Friday morning.
At around 2:16 a.m., Texas Department of Public Safety officials responded to a crash on Loop 338, south of Odessa. According to initial reports, a Ford F-250 pickup truck was traveling along the westbound lane when, for reasons that had not been determined, it drifted off the roadway. The driver tried to overcorrect but the truck ended up upside down.
The driver, identified as 22-year-old Andy Heffner of Big Piney, Wyoming, was pronounced deceased by emergency crews. Police officials said that he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the incident.
No one else was involved in the crash.
The investigation is still in progress.
