Austin – Wrong-Way Crash on Interstate 35 Kills 1

A 21-year-old man who died in a car accident on Interstate 35 has been identified by Austin law enforcement officials, according to a local news source.
Last Sunday morning, local troopers responded to a collision on I-35 involving two vehicles. Police said that a 2018 Hyundai Elantra was heading south on the northbound lanes of the highway when it crashed into a 2007 GMC Yukon.
The driver of the Elantra, identified as Christian Barrios, 21, died at the scene. A passenger in the Yukon suffered from non-life threatening injuries. He was rushed to a local hospital for treatment.
According to Austin Police Department, both were wearing seatbelts.
