Tyler – Longview Woman Injured by Hit-and-run Driver on FM 2767

The Texas Department of Public Safety is still looking for the hit-and-run driver who hit a Longview woman on Farm to Market 2767 Road, Sunday evening.
Just after 8:00 p.m., Gregg County local officials responded to FM 2767, also known as Old Kilgore Highway, after receiving an alert reporting a crash between a pedestrian and a vehicle. According to said report, a woman was attempting to cross the highway when she was struck by a white pickup truck that was travelinga long the northbound lanes.
The victim was seriously injured from the collision. He was immediately transported to Christus Mother Frances Hospital–Tyler where he was listed in critical condition.
Meanwhile, the driver of the pickup truck fled the scene after hitting the victim. His identity remains unknown at this time.
The investigation is still in progress.
