Jefferson County – Saturday Crash on LaBelle Road Injured Four People

Several sustained various injuries when two vehicles collided with each other on Highway 73 near LaBelle Road, Saturday, last April 27, reports said.
Just after 8:00 p.m., an accident took place on Highway 73, just west of LaBelle Road. According to initial reports, a sports utility vehicle was heading west on the highway when it was rear-ended by a Dodge Charger that was traveling along Highway 73 at an unsafe speed. The SUV was sent off the roadway, struck a fence, and overturned a number of times. The impact of the crash injured four people and ejected a man from the SUV.
The driver of the Dodge, along with her child, was rushed to the Southeast Texas Medical Center for treatment. Fortunately, their injuries were not considered life-threatening. Meanwhile, two occupants in the Honda suffered serious injuries from the force of the impact. They were rushed to St. Elizabeth hospital for further care.
An investigation is underway.
