Austin – Elderly Died in An Auto Collision on North Mopac

A fatal vehicular accident caused the death of an 86-year-old man on North Mopac, Thursday morning, last April 14.
According to a local news source, Austin local officers were dispatched at the 11200 block of North Mopac southbound after receiving a crash report. A 2014 gray Mitsubishi sedan was heading south in the inner lane of North Mopac when it was rear-ended by a white Chevrolet pickup truck. Police said that the driver of the Mitsubishi stopped to give way to an emergency vehicle.
The impact of the collision seriously injured the 86-year-old driver. He was rushed to St. David’s Round Rock Hospital for further care. However, he later succumbed to his injuries a couple of days later.
No details about the driver of the second vehicle were released.
Investigators are still investigating the case.
