Tyler – Fatal Crash on FM 14 Involved Teenage Girl

A fatal vehicle collision on Farm to Market 14 Road left one person dead and another with critical injuries, Saturday night, according to Texas Department of Public Safety officials.
Based on a preliminary investigation, a vehicle driven by Emily Catherine Moore, 17, of Hawkins, was traveling along the southbound lanes of FM 14 when, for reasons that had not been determined, it crossed the centerline and collided with another vehicle. The impact of the collision seriously injured both the driver and passenger of the second vehicle. Its driver, identified only as a 28-year-old Dallas resident, was rushed to Christus Mother Francis Hospital-Tyler where he later succumbed to his injuries. His passenger was also rushed to the same hospital and is listed in critical condition. She was later identified as Jenny Paine, 31, of Dallas.
Police said that Moore also suffered from injuries and was treated at the hospital.
