Fort Worth – Emmanuel Esperansa Struck and Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver on South Freeway

The Fort Worth Police Department is still looking for the driver who fled the scene after hitting a man on South Freeway, early Monday morning.
According to initial reports, the fatal accident took place at around 2:00 a.m. just outside the OK Corral on South Freeway near Seminary Drive. For reasons that had not yet been determined, an altercation between a man and woman started as they leave the parking lot. A dark-colored SUV then struck the man, injuring him in the process. He was later rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Authorities identified him as 29-year-old Emmanuel Esperansa.
The driver of the hit-and-run vehicle, who was identified as 33-year-old Laura Rosas, is being held in the Tarrant County jail.
The crash remains under investigation.
