Corpus Christi – Reckless Driver on Everhart Road Caused Three-Vehicle Crash

A Corpus Christi Police officer said that at least one person died following a fatal car accident at the intersection of Holly Road and Everheart Road, early Sunday morning.
According to reports, local responders were dispatched to said cross streets at around 3:00 a.m. A vehicle collided with another car after failing to stop at a red light. The driver of the vehicle then lost control and crashed into a third car.
A male driver of one of the vehicle was ejected from his vehicle as a result of the collision. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. Another male occupant, identified only as a man in his 40s, was taken to a hospital for further care. However, his condition was not immediately disclosed.
Investigators believe that speed and alcohol played a role in the accident.
