El Paso – Police Officer Injured on George Dieter Drive

A car accident involving a police unit was reported on George Dieter Drive, Sunday afternoon, according to a local news source.
According to initial reports, the said crash took place at around 2:45 p.m. at the cross street of George Dieter Drive and Vista del Sol Drive. Special Traffic Investigators (STI) responded to the scene when a police unit and another vehicle collided with each other. How the crash took place is yet to be determined by local authorities.
The officer and a passenger in the vehicle were immediately transported to a hospital by fire and police emergency crews who responded to the scene. The extent of the victim’s injuries was not publicly disclosed at this time.
Authorities are still determining what caused the accident.
