Motorcyclist dies after crash with box truck on IH-10 in east Katy

HARRIS COUNTY, TX — At least one person died Friday morning when a motorcycle collided with a large box truck on Katy Freeway in east Katy, according to Houston Chronicle.

The fatal wreck occurred on the eastbound freeway near Mason Road, in the city’s West Memorial neighborhood. It was verified by Houston Transtar at 7:24 a.m.

It was not immediately clear what led up to the accident, but multiple lanes were blocked as emergency crews responded to the scene.

As of this writing, authorities have not confirmed the number of fatalities or released information on the parties involved.
