One airlifted after single-vehicle wreck on US-290 NB near Hockley

HARRIS COUNTY, TX — One person was hospitalized early Friday morning after a single-vehicle collision on Northwest Freeway near southeast Hockley, according to OnScene.TV.
The accident occurred on the outbound freeway (US-290/SH-6) at Becker Road, near the city’s Ranch Country neighborhood. It was first reported by OnScene shortly after 3:00 a.m.
It was not immediately clear what led up to the wreck, but one person was transported by airlift to a local hospital, indicating serious injuries. As of this writing, no updates on their condition have been released.
Traffic deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office and Rosehill Fire Department crews both responded to the scene.
