Corpus Christi – Two-Vehicle Crash on Leopard Street

The Corpus Christi Police Department is investigating a car accident on Leopard Street near Tuloso Road, Thursday afternoon.
At around 12:47 p.m., responding officers received a report of a collision between two vehicles at the said intersection. According to the report, a vehicle was approaching Leopard when it was struck by another vehicle as it enters the intersection. The force of the impact caused the vehicle to flip on its side, trapping the driver inside.
The victim was later identified as Priscilla Salas of Corpus Christi. She was extricated from the wreckage and taken to a local hospital where she was later pronounced dead. Meanwhile, the other driver was also transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
No charges have been made as the investigation is still in progress. Based on a preliminary investigation, authorities believe that the woman was at fault.
