Harris County—Man Hospitalized after A Car Accident on Highway 6

At least one man was sent to a hospital after getting involved in a car accident on Highway 6 near Pine Forest Lane, Tuesday morning.
According to initial reports, the collision, which involved two vehicles, took place at around 1:45 a.m. An F-150 pickup truck was waiting for a go signal at the intersection of Pine Forest Lane and North State Highway 6 when a Chevy Cavalier crashed into its back. A preliminary investigation shows that the Chevrolet was not able to control its speed upon approaching the intersection.
The impact of the collision was so great that the Chevrolet driver had to be extricated from the wreckage. He was then airlifted via Life Flight to Memorial Hermann Hospital for treatment. Emergency crews said that he was listed in serious condition with broken legs.
Fortunately, the Ford driver was not hurt from the impact. However, the rear-end of his vehicle sustained major damage.
Investigation is still in progress.
