HARRIS COUNTY, TX — Two people were critically injured Wednesday evening when their car appeared to be intentionally hit by another driver in southwest Spring, according to Spring Happenings.
The collision occurred in the 18500 block of Forest Elms Drive, in the Cypresswood residential neighborhood, at about 5:30 p.m.
Witnesses said an SUV was speeding when it appeared to intentionally strike a sedan, which caused the driver of the sedan to lose control. The sedan then collided with a parked flatbed trailer.
Spring Fire crews performed a rescue extrication for two occupants in the sedan. Both victims suffered critical injuries and were rushed to HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest.
Further investigation into the incident found the driver of the SUV to be the husband of the sedan’s female driver.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the suspect has been booked in the county jail and faces multiple pending charges, including “aggravated assault on a family member” and “aggravated assault on the male passenger.”
