HOUSTON, TX — A man and a woman died Monday night after a head-on collision involving four vehicles near Houston’s Northside/Northline neighborhood, according to Click2Houston.
The fatal crash happened in the 11600 block of Bannister Lane, near the East Little York Road intersection, shortly before 7:11 p.m.
An early investigation a truck was heading westbound on Little York when, for unconfirmed reasons, its driver lost control of the vehicle. The truck veered past the median and collided with an eastbound Kia, which then struck a tow truck that had been towing another vehicle.
Houston police said a man and a woman were pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the first truck suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital. It was not immediately clear whether the tow truck driver was hurt in the crash.
Authorities believe high speed was a likely factor in the collision, but said further investigation is required to determine which party was at fault.
