Man dies after crashing car into 18-wheeler off IH-10 in west Houston

HOUSTON, TX — A man was killed early Saturday when his car collided with the back of a parked 18-wheeler on a Katy Freeway feeder road in west Houston, reports News 4 San Antonio.
The fatal incident occurred near the outbound IH-10 Frontage Road and Central Park West Boulevard, near the city’s Energy Corridor area, at about 2:45 a.m.
Houston Police Department said the driver of the 18-wheeler had gotten tired and illegally pulled over in a moving right lane on the feeder road. The truck’s flashers were on at the time the victim crashed his car into the trailer at high speed, which sent the car underneath it. Authorities confirmed he died from his injuries at the scene.
As of this writing, no reports on any pending charges have been released, but the case is being reviewed by the District Attorney’s Office.
