Tyler— Two-Vehicle Crash on Loop 323 and Paluxy Kills Tyler Man

A Tyler man passed away after getting into a fatal car accident on Loop 323, Monday.
According to initial reports, the Tyler police offers responded to a fatal collision on East Southeast Loop 323 just before 11:00 p.m. A preliminary investigation shows that the wreck involved a speeding a silver Jeep and a red GMC Yukon. The Jeep was traveling along the westbound lanes when it did not stop at a red light, prompting a collision with the GMC Yukon that was heading south on Paluxy.
The force of the impact was so great that the Tyler Fire Department crews had to extricate the driver of the GMC off the wreckage. The driver, identified as Dan Rodela Gonzalez, 35, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Jeep was identified as Ethan John Craft, a 24-resident of Tyler. Craft was rushed to UT Health-Tyler for treatment.
No arrests have been made as of this writing. TPD is still trying to determine if alcohol played a role in the accident.
