One extricated after two-car crash on South Beltway near Missouri City

HARRIS COUNTY, TX — Firefighters had to extricate one person from a wreck Friday morning after two vehicles collided on the South Beltway near Missouri City, reports ABC13.
The accident took place on the westbound lanes of the freeway approaching West Fuqua Street at around 6:30 a.m.
It was not immediately clear what led up to the crash, but one person was trapped in a wrecked vehicle, requiring a rescue extrication.
Authorities have not disclosed details on the extent of injuries to that victim or any other party.
All westbound lanes were shut down as emergency crews worked to clear a heavy amount of debris from the roadway.
Motorists were asked to divert to the feeder road.
