Fort Worth—Pedestrian Dies Following Nell Street Collision

According to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s website, the pedestrian who got struck by a vehicle on Nell Street died last Wednesday.
Last Monday, the Fort Worth Police Department was dispatched in the 5400 block of Nell Street after receiving a report of a collision at around 7:30 p.m. Based on a preliminary investigation, a pedestrian was hit by a black Mercedes Benz about two blocks from his home. The victim, identified as Juan Pardo, 13, sustained serious injuries from the force of impact. He was rushed to Cook Children’s Medical Center where he later died. A ruling of his death is still pending.
The driver of the Mercedes Benz stayed at the scene after hitting Pardo. He was not publicly identified.
Police said that no arrests or charges are expected to be filed.
