Austin—Hit-and-run Crash on North Lamar Boulevard

The Austin Police Department is still looking for the driver who fled the scene following a fatal car accident on North Lamar Boulevard, last Tuesday.
According to initial reports, the accident took place at around 8:30 p.m. at 8100 block of North Lamar Boulevard. A vehicle was traveling along the road when it struck two pedestrian that was crossing North Lamar. One of the pedestrians suffered from minor injuries while the other one sustained serious injuries, killing her in the process. Authorities identified the victim as Blair Dismukes, 37. The injured pedestrian was not immediately identified.
Following the crash, the driver of the hitting vehicle fled the scene. Austin police officers have yet to identify the suspect and locate the vehicle involved in the collision.
The crash remains under investigation. Anyone with information about the hit-and-run driver can contact APD for assistance.
