San Angelo— Woman Hospitalized Following a Car Accident on South Randolph Street

Last Friday, a fatal collision involving multiple vehicles took place on South Randolph Street, a local news source says.

According to initial reports, a red Dodge Journey sports utility vehicle was heading south on Randolph Street when it ran a red light at the intersection. The Dodge then crashed into a Toyota that was traveling on the opposite direction on Avenue V. The impact of the crash left the Toyota driver, identified only as an elderly woman, with serious injuries. She was then transported to a hospital via ambulance for treatment. Her identification was not released.

Based on a preliminary investigation, the Dodge driver was distracted by his dog prompting him to enter the intersection on a red light. He will be cited for running a stop sign and driving with an invalid license.

The investigation is ongoing.

It is unfortunate to hear of this accident that has left a few individuals injured, particularly that young girl who is still in critical condition as of right now.
