Corpus Christi–Lucia Tanguma Died Following SH 358 Crash

The Nueces County Medical Examiner’s Office has released the name of the victim who died in a car accident on State Highway 358, last Saturday.
At around 9:00 p.m., the Corpus Christi Police Department responded to a wreck on SH 358 near Everhart Road and South Padre Island Drive. According to initial reports, a gray passenger vehicle was heading west on the highway when it collided with several other vehicles. Details of how the crash took place or what caused the collision were not immediately determined by CCPD.
The driver of the passenger vehicle was identified as Lucia Tanguma, 68. She was pronounced dead by emergency crews. Authorities said that Tanguma was not wearing a seat belt during the time of the incident.
No one else was injured.
Local investigators arrived at the scene to determine liability.
