Driver struck, killed after getting out of vehilce on I-10

HOUSTON, TX – A woman was killed when she was struck by a passing vehicle while checking on a passenger in her vehicle yesterday.
According to WOAI, the woman stopped in the inbound lanes of I-10 near Kirkwood Road at about 3 a.m. to asses her passenger who was vomiting.
As the woman exited her vehicle, her car was rear-ended by another driver, sending it flying through the air.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her passenger was hospitalized in stable condition.
The driver in the second vehicle was also hospitalized. It is unclear if he will face any charges at this time.
